Father in heaven, thank you for Christ our great king, who took on such weakness and humility. Lord we look at his life and see our great shortcomings. How we are hopeless when it comes to being humble before you but instead how we have ignored you in so many ways, favouring our own plans and strength over trust in your love and goodness. Thank you that Christ wins the battle for our hearts and generates true faith within us. Thank you that he is the hero who wins the battle over sin for us. We rejoice in his strength, for we know we are weak. We rejoice that our lives are enfolded in his. Please stir in us thankful and trusting hearts.
