Heavenly Father, thank you that we have your word to know you truly and to see our salvation in Christ. Please keep working through by your Spirit as we look at your word together each week. Please encourage our older students to keep rejoicing in and standing by the gospel. And may others come who have not yet heard of Jesus, and see the great hope that we have in him. May you confront us with our sin, in all its varied forms, and fill hearts with thankfulness and joy and we see Christ vanquish this great enemy. Please help me to preach 1 Samuel faithfully and apply it to our hearts boldly.
