Father, make us a group who rushes to repentance. May we know well the preeminent nature of Christ and his superior work at the cross, and have confidence to draw near to your throne of grace. May we not hide or excuse away our sins but acknowledge them with humility and sorrow, knowing your sure forgiveness in Christ. May true joy flow from your mercy and renew our wholehearted worship, our zeal in service, our love for one another. Make us ready to take uncomfortable steps of repentance with gladness, knowing we are walking on a path of abundant life.
