Heavenly Father, please work through your word today. Thank you that we can hear your word of salvation and life found in Jesus. Thank you that it is through this that you work by your Spirit to redeem and transform, and not through any eloquence or wisdom of our own. Lord, please help us to keep pressing on in the power of Christ’s resurrection to put to death sin in our life. Keep us resting confidently in Christ, trusting his righteousness rather than our own works (which are only a liability to us). Keep us longing to know Christ more and looking forward to the great resurrection, the completion of your work in us though Christ.
