Heavenly Father, thank you that though once we were far off, you have brought us near through the blood of Christ. Once we were so disconnected from you, following gods of our own making, ignoring the way you have made us in your image to love and enjoy you, and instead serving our own image, loving and pursuing sin. As people of distant lands, we were without hope and disconnected even from your promises that were given to you people. So we praise you all the more for drawing us in from, families from the far ends of the earth, to know you as our Father, our lord and saviour. May we grow in our love and joy because of the closeness we now have with you.
