Heavenly Father, thank you that Christ came with authority teaching your word to us. Lord, please help us to listen to hm even though we might find ourselves challenged and exposed. Please help us to trust his work in our hearts as he pares back our stubbornness and sin and reforms us in his image. Thank you that his words come with the authority that transform us, and we ask that you do that day by day, but especially as we meet together as your people.
