Heavenly Father, please build up our compassion. Please root out the self-centred impulses to preserve our time, energy, resources but instead be generous. Help us to see things from other people’s point of view and recognise the differences in others. Help us to feel with others without getting frustrated. May we remember that you are the one who provides our every need and help us turn to you in our weakness, and to help others know the great hope we have in you. Keep our eyes fixed on the new life that has been brought about for us in Christ and the great restoration that will be ours i the age to come.
