Heavenly Father, thank you for the great hope that we have in the gospel. We rejoice in the way Jesus came and gave himself for us that we might simply trust him and have eternal life. Lord please fill our hearts with the goodness of knowing Jesus and help us see that he is where we find true meaning and joy. Help us not to be swept up with a hollow love of the good things of this world but enjoy them to the full by enjoying them in relationship with you. We ask that all who come to the “What floats your boat” talk tomorrow will see the infinite value of a life lived with you, and see how it far outweighs any meagre happiness that we can find in this world.
