Lord of the heavens, we look around us and see so many who rage against you, wanting to throw all links with you away, many who scorn you. But you look down from on high and scoff at this foolishness. Lord please speak to more in your wrath and terrify people in your fury. May your Holy Spirit convict people of sin that they may see you the one they have warred against and tremble. May they hear your words, that you have set your king on Zion your holy hill, and marvel as they look upon the great king exalted upon a cross. May many see and feel the great cost of your grace freely given to us and tremble. Please draw more from our little corner here in Cairns who will serve you with fear and rejoice with trembling, who will kiss the Son and find their eternal refuge in him.
