Heavenly Father, you are the great God of all creation. You have made all things for your glory yet we so often seek our own, ignoring your majesty and grace. Please forgive us for the times when we still do this. We pursue our lives with selfishness rather than with love for you and our neighbour. We see the remnants of sin in our fleshy lives, pervasive and murky, twisting all kinds of goodness you set before us to evil. Lord, we need Christ every hour! May we trust him continually for we need him constantly. Open our eyes to our sin that we may run to Christ all the more gladly. May we rejoice in the presence of Christ through his Holy Spirit, knowing that we are only secure in him.
