Heavenly Father, please do your work in us. Please change us because we cannot change ourselves. Teach me and the students here at NTE your statutes, cause us to understand your law, and so transform us that our whole heart is set upon it and hangs onto it. Lead us in our blindness into the delightful paths of your word. Reform my heart that it might incline towards you in your word. Turn our eyes away from the dead and worthless things we so often treasure – we lean on you to give us life! You have confirmed your promise in the Lord Jesus and we rejoice with awe and fear, for you are the mighty God who saves and makes us yours. We entrust ourselves to you, knowing that in Christ all reproach will be turned to glory. Your word to us is good, satisfy the longing of our hearts as we feed on it this week.
