Heavenly Father, help us to lean into your steadfast love and take comfort. We are frail in our humanity and quickly crumple under the strain of suffering and brokenness. We can do nothing to reverse the effect of sin in our life and our world – we cast ourselves on you. We cling to you for our restoration for you are the God who saves – who has saved in Christ! You are the only one who undoes the mess of our sin, the only giver of life. We lift our eyes to you, often with tears at our wrongdoings, or with grief at our suffering, but with a deep hope, for you have poured out your love in the Lord Jesus, and we know that nothing will seperate us from this. Please comfort us in your love, and stir up that peace and joy in Christ that seeps through all of life.
