Heavenly Father, please spare us from forgetfulness of you that so easily blankets our minds. You are the provider of every good gift and the sustainer of every breath. Stir up our hearts and minds that we might reflexively turn to you, asking for our every need, petitioning you to carry out your good promises in Christ, and thanking you for all that you have done. Make us reliant on you and rejoicing in you. So often we see your hand at work then meander off and give our devotion to our own creations. Spare us from such mindlessness and idolatry. You are our saviour, sustainer, Lord and God, and we we bow before you in worship.
