Heavenly Father, please work through your word. As we open it today and Thursday in the Bible study group may your Holy Spirit open our eyes to the hope that is found in Christ. Expose our sin and cause us to turn to you in repentance, knowing that in you is true life, peace and forgiveness. Make us aware of the false hopes that we often lean upon and leave them to cling wholeheartedly to you. Thank you that in Christ we have one who always intercedes for us and is our righteousness. Give us joy knowing that in him we have an eternal and living hope.
