Heavenly Father, please help us to know you as our God of refuge. May we know that we are secure in your hands, thought the earth give way, and the mountains fall into the sea. Father, we look around us and see nations in uproar, but we know that when you lift your voice, kingdoms fall and the earth melts. You break the weapons of war, in a moment you bring complete peace. Please help us to know that you have come to be with us, and not to condemn our sin and failing, but to bring complete peace through Christ. Because of all that Jesus has done we can truly say that the God of Jacob is our fortress forever, and through him, you are exalted among the nations. May he be exalted in our hearts also.
