Heavenly Father, you are the holy God, the one who is perfect in every way and whose goodness and grace is an overflowing flood. Yet we have shoved you off, we have spurned your love, and ignored your grace. Father, your justice condemns us, yet you seek out mercy for us. You have brought us close into your arms because you have exhausted all your justice on Christ our saviour, who sheltered us like a cleft in the solid rock, taking the full force of the storm of your wrath. Thank you, lord, that we can enjoy true mercy. May we ever rejoice in your justice and mercy.
