Heavenly Father, thank you for giving us Jesus, who was not daunted by the task that stood before him. Though we quail before sin and tremble helpless before the enemy, Christ stood strong firm, ever doing your will. Thank you that he walked the path of salvation for us even to the hill of Calvary. Thank you, though that in that moment of weakness, the head of the serpent was crushed forever. Please help us to grow in our joy of his great victory over sin and death. Please help us to live out this victory in our lives day by day, ever looking to your forgiveness and grace.
Amen
