Heavenly Father, thank you for giving to us a king after your own heart. How good to know Christ who, though he was meek and gentle, lowly and humble, he was the very Word made flesh who could calm the raging storm with a word. Thank you that he is gentle and kind towards us, though we deserve the very opposite. Lord, please help us to serve him with faithfulness. Please make us into his likeness, living out your grace and love. May we always see his greatness and beauty, though the world sees only weakness and folly.
