God of the highest heaven. You are glorious above all things, our creator and sustainer, who has poured out yourself to us in grace, building with us a wonderful relationship of love and trust and self-sacrifice. So often though, we attribute your glory to the things that you have made. We make ourselves, and the things before us more important than you. Thank you, though, that you that you caused you glory to come so near to us in the person of Christ. All that is majestic and wonderful and good, is seen in him. In him we look at your glory face to face. Lord, please help us to gaze upon him, to stand in awe of your grace and glory, wrapped up in the person of Jesus and find our souls truly satisfied.
Amen
