Oh Lord, maker of heaven and earth, you spoke a word and the world was made, you uphold all things by the word of your power, and in you, everything lives, and breathes, and has its being. Father, thank you that at many times and in various ways, you spoke to us, telling us your great plans of salvation. Thank you that you have spoken fully and wonderfully through your Son, and that we can meet him and listen to him through the Bible. Please work through your word again tomorrow at the Bible talks, helping us to hear your good promises fulfilled in Jesus. Please help people feel welcome to come along and join in even if they do not know much about you. Please work in them to trust you and know the eternal life they can have in Christ.
