Heavenly Father, so often we fall short of your glory. Our hearts have the tendency to reject you like Judas, to abandon and deny you like Peter. Father, help us to see the goodness of Christ and turn our hearts to you in true repentance. May we grieve our sins in a way that fuels faith in Christ and rejoices in the mercy and forgiveness that he purchased for us at such cost. Lord thank you that true repentance ends in joy. Please make us people who are quick to say sorry and quick to forgive, as we ourselves have been forgiven.
