Heavenly Father, thank you for your patience with us. Thank you that you hold back what we deserve and instead pour out love and grace on us. Thank you that in Christ we have every confidence of your ongoing goodness and faithfulness to us even though we fall short. Father, please build up our patience. Help us to hold back out frustrations and anger and instead to think generously of others, to forgive as we have been forgiven, and to encourage gently. Please help us to remember the things that really matter, the good things of Christ, and let that shape our actions and thoughts.
