Heavenly Father, thank you that you are just and do not judge hastily but are slow to anger, and even that you turn away from punishment. Thank you that you do not pounce on our wrong-doing but that you are generous and patient. Lord, we are sorry for all the ways we have wronged you this day and ask for your forgiveness. Thank you that we can rely on your mercy and know it for certain because of how you have fulfilled it in Jesus. We trust in him, knowing the great cost he has payed on our behalf, and ask that you renew our life to live in your good way.
