Heavenly Father, please help me as I seek to rightly handle your word of truth. Help me to say what it says to those who will hear. Let it shape my own heart as I open it up myself. Please give me insight to understand the intentions of the writers and grasp hold of the hopes that they were looking to. Help me to see Christ and his fulfilment of these longings and rejoice in the salvation and blessing that he brings about for us. May your Spirit work in us through your grace to bear fruit in our hearts as we listen carefully to your powerful word about Jesus. May we make much of him this week and let others see our hope in him.
