Heavenly Father, may I crave your word, aching to be satisfied with the gospel of Jesus. Stir up in me a greater longing to hear and be formed up in maturity. Help me not to shirk from rebuke but accept it with wisdom. Help me to fall onto it for my comfort when I am weary. May my hope and joy spring up from it and be firmly set in it. Help me to see your goodness and grace in it in times when I doubt. When I feel reluctant to hear your word help me to set aside any laziness or sin or folly and grasp what I know is my richest treasure.
