Our Father, stir up in us a genuine delight in you. Your word is good and through it we know you truly, help us to treasure it. May we see in it more and more of your nature and your works and so increase our hunger for you. May we see that all other delights are flavourless, lifeless dust without you. May we become more and more dissatisfied with the things that we do without reference to, or thought of you. Instead, reshape our thoughts and actions, knowing that every breath comes from your sovereign direction. May every step of our life be taken for your glory and our joy.
