Our good God, you are the source and sustainer of life, and we are so glad that you have chosen to be among your people. You treasure the life of your people. You are both just and merciful, judging and restraining the shedding of innocent blood. May we love that you dwell with us through the work of Christ. May we rejoice in the cross of Christ where justice was poured out on our wrongdoing, and where we now find boundless mercy. You are truly with us, holy and majestic as you are, the giver and sustainer of life. In Christ we have a dwelling place where death is done away with completely. May there be many who come to him and find eternal life.
