Heavenly Father, thank you that you have spoken to us from the beginning of creation drawing us in to a relationship with you. We rejoice in your gracious word of peace, rescue, reconciliation, and faithful love. We rejoice that you have pursued us with your word, even though we had turned out backs on you and refused to listen to your call to us. Thank you, though, that you sent your Son, the exact imprint of your nature, that we might hear you speak to us closer still. Please help us to listen to him and pay attention to all his words that we might find true life in him.
