Oh God, our Father, what can we do but cry to you. You are our only hope in a world of brokenness; you are our only defence against the tide of sin that sweeps us away from your life; you are our only anchor in the storm of suffering. We need you every hour, every breath. We need your life to fill ours, that might walk in the paths that are good, that we might enjoy your creation and your creatures as we ought. We are weak and utterly needy without you, so teach us to lean on you. May you reshape our hearts and minds that we might rejoice in your good and guiding hand.
Amen.
