Faithful God, when suffering comes our way please help us to endure. Even more than that, help us to rejoice in hope. Lord, thank you for the glorious hope we do have in Christ. We have the greatest reconciliation to the most loving Father, all achieved while we were pushing against you, proud in our sin and ignorant in our folly. You stepped into our sin-marred world, you bore our suffering, you carried our iniquities, crushing it all at the cross. Through Christ’s death we have reconciliation, through his life our assurance of salvation is confirmed all the more. We suffer, but we are in the arms of the Prince of Peace, where we have the sure hope of the glory of God. May our students who are currently suffering endure, and may you generate from this hope.
