Heavenly Father, please protect our hearts from greed. Please help us to see the all-surpassing worth of knowing you through Christ. May we treasure him and live for his kingdom. Please shape our hearts to hold so loosely to material things, but cling to Christ. Expand in our hearts, the knowledge of his goodness and grace, that we may rejoice in all circumstances. Please grow in us generosity and love as we understand, more and more, the unmeasurable mercy and generosity that you have poured out on us.
