Heavenly Father, please help our students to keep remembering that the earth is yours and all that is in it. Please comfort them with the knowledge that you are the one in control of this world, not us, and that the circumstances that trouble us cannot undo your great plans. Help us to step back from study and work and stand in awe of who you are. Help us to see the great chasm that stood between you and us because our sin. Please guard us from that impulse in our hearts to turn to other things instead of you, to ignore your continual input into our life. Lord we are all guilty but we look to you to give us clean hands and pure hearts. We look to the king of glory, Christ, who has entered into our world, outwardly humble and weak yet mighty to save. Thank you that he conquered over every sin of ours and brings us back to you forever.
