Heavenly Father, the fleeting troubles of this world often seem so looming and large to us. Please help us to rejoice in the midst of these. Open our eyes to your love and provision that you have ultimately poured out through Jesus. Help us to see the glory of our salvation in Christ and the hope of his appearing. Help us to revel in the peace we have with you and cause it to surpass and protect our troubled minds and hearts. May we keep hanging onto this when our day to day circumstances seem so shaky. Please keep us thankful for all you have done, and keep our thoughts filled with whatever is true, or honourable, or just, or pure, or lovely, or commendable, or excellent, or worthy of praise. May these beautiful things of your grace displace the worries and cares of this world.
