Father, help us to listen well to your word. Pare away the reluctance to hear what you have to say to us that often edges into our hearts. Help us to value preaching and readily let others bring your truth to bear on our lives. Please bring fruit from the Bible talk we held and our regular Bible studies for your glory. Through your word, help us to reset our hope onto the things of greatest importance rather than things that do not last. Help us to rejoice in the grace and peace that we so liberally receive in the gospel and spur each other on to keep trusting it all our days.
