Father, thank you for the preaching of your word. We ask that you keep working in us through it today. Your word brings rebuke, so bring us to repentance; your word brings comfort, so set our hearts at peace; your word brings life, so we praise you that we have been able to hear and believe and be delivered from death. Please refresh and strengthen those who have served us at church. Lord, may your word be active in us through this week, reshaping our lives for our benefit and your glory. May this be especially so for the students at JCU as they head into exams this week, that they may remain grounded in your grace and peace.
