Generous God, open or eyes to the beauty of a life lived with you. Help us to be discontent with all pleasures that are not oriented toward you or slowly make us forget you. Help us to examine our own hearts well and see those trinkets we hold that are worthless on their own, and cling instead to you, treasuring your abundant grace towards us. Help us at JCU to love your word, experiencing its exposure of our idols and its exhibition of your glorious character. Thank you that in Christ, you have made us wholeheartedly yours – may we walk in step with this through your Spirit day by day.
