Lord of life, your presence with us is what we need, for through this, dead and barren places become lush and abundant. Your presence with us is the stream that flows from your temple, out and through the land, watering and nourishing. Your provision does not trickle away but every metre deepens and strengthens, extending to more and more until it reaches the sea. Even here your infusion of life cannot be stopped but turns the salt to freshness until it teams with living things. We praise you who, through Christ, made your dwelling place in us and made your temple the church. May your Spirit well up out of Christ, out of your church to bring the dead to life. May your river flow through Cairns causing many to flourish and grow in your bountiful land.
Amen (Ezek 47:1-12)
